How do I bypass the Power Steering Pressure sensor so the ECM does monitor it?

Car is 2001 Mazda Protege Mp3 2.0L Manual. My biennial smog check and re-registration is due within 30 day from now and I haven't have all the monitors completed yet. On top of that the P.S. pressure switch/sensor has been triggering DTC P0550 lately and it may be bad and needs to be replaced. I can get a new one and put it in there but my main problem is there is no connector or wiring that will lead to the ECM. It's useless because no matter I have tried looking for it none is visible. This car has been totalled more than two years ago and was repaired successfully and passed the smog then and the DTC have not yet occur until few weeks ago when I disconnected the battery. I have not messed with the car since and the car obviously passed the test with the connector disconnected from the sensor. I was wondering if there is a technique I don't know that can be done so that the ECU wont monitor the sensor therefore not triggering DTC again. My main concern is just passing the smog test. Thanks in advance.
